Hi, Iām Jon Burns
I've done this work my whole life starting in New York. There's nothing glamorous about hauling an old couch down three flights or wrestling a fridge out of a garage, but it taught me about people. You show up at an emotional moment, cleaning out a parent's house, clearing years of clutter, reclaiming a garage. How you treat someone then matters as much as the job itself.
Pittsburgh taught me to hustle. Los Angeles taught me to move fast without cutting corners. Washington, D.C., taught me to stay professional even when the work is dirty.
In Douglas County, Colorado, I wanted to build something smaller and more personal, not the biggest hauling company, just the one people trust most. That means showing up when I say I will, an honest price up front, and treating every job as if it matters. That's why Burnsy Hauls exists.
My Approach
Burnsy Hauls started with a simple idea: hauling should be handled by someone who treats your home like their own. After years of working in the removal and hauling trade across New York, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Washington DC, our owner brought that same hands-on work ethic to Douglas County, Colorado.
Today, Burnsy Hauls is a small, locally owned crew helping neighbors clear out recycling, cardboard, trash, appliances, and everything in between. No corporate scripts, no hidden fees, just honest work done right.
